I’m sure there’s people there who gave him some change, proving that there’s a little bit of good out there. I doubt they were as passionate to legitimately him help as they were to tell him off. Giving a piece of your mind is easy, ignoring is easy, throwing some change in a cup is easy, actually HELPING, like properly helping, is very very hard… And even if you work really hard to properly help, one bitter, entitled, neurotic asshole can ruin it just because you looked at them the wrong way.
This pretty much sums up how I see humanity as a whole (although individuals are different), although I would love being proved wrong.
If you’re not taught to be compassionate, will compassion naturally flow from a human? I don’t see it in this instance.
